African Services Committee

Founded in 1981 by Ethiopian refugees, the African Services Committee is a multi-service agency based in Harlem, New York. It is dedicated to assisting new immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers from across the African diaspora. Expanding HIV prevention and access to AIDS treatment and care is central to its mission.

WNDW focused coverage in Harlem, Northern Manhattan and the South Bronx areas of New York City, in neighborhoods where  many African immigrants live and work.
