Frequently Asked Questions
How does WNDW propose campaigns?
WNDW builds custom, street-level, storefront display networks based on your target neighborhoods and audience.
Each campaign is tailored to deliver strong, hyper-local visibility across the places people live, work, go to school, and shop.
Where are WNDWposter™ Displays seen?
On the exterior windows of active, street-level businesses in high-foot-traffic areas.
Are all postings approved by the store owners / management?
Yes — all placements are installed with storefront approval. We never post without permission. Store owners are also implicitly endorsing the WNDW content displayed on their windows.
Are your locations fixed or guaranteed upfront?
WNDW guarantees that your displays will be seen in the areas you most want to be. We provide potential storefront locations during the planning phase to show the types of storefronts and areas we will target.
Final locations are confirmed at installation based on real-time availability — and reported in real-time as the displays go up, with our WNDWview™ reporting dashboard.
When will I receive the final location list?
Once installation begins, you’ll receive access to WNDWview™, our real-time reporting dashboard, where you can track all placement addresses, photos, lat/longs, interactive mapping, zip code heat maps, impressions and CPM data.
Can I approve locations before the campaign starts?
At WNDW, we don’t plan campaigns around single locations. We plan around neighborhoods, audiences, and real-world behavior — with the ability to whitelist or blacklist venue types based on brand safety and vertical.
How do you ensure high-quality placements?
Our Field Marketing Agents (FMAs):
- Secure storefront approvals directly in-person
- Install and audit placements
- Maintain quality throughout the campaign
We prioritize clean, high-visibility storefronts and avoid cluttered windows to ensure your creative stands out.
Are your locations audited?
Yes — our inventory is Geopath audited, the industry standard for OOH measurement.
All campaigns include audited impression data and reporting.
What is WNDWview™?
WNDWview™ is our real-time reporting dashboard, providing:
- Live installation updates + photos
- Interactive map with exact locations
- Lat/longs and neighborhood breakdowns
- Heatmaps and facing direction
- Audited impressions and CPM
You can track the campaign as it’s happening.
How do you guarantee campaign delivery?
We have a 30+ year track record of 100% delivery.
Our network of independent storefronts allows us to consistently fulfill all contracted placements within your target neighborhoods.
What determines campaign size?
Campaign size is based on:
- Target geography
- Desired reach and frequency
- Audience density
We build packages to ensure strong visibility at the neighborhood level.
Do you have minimums?
Yes — minimums vary by market to ensure meaningful coverage and impact.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend:
- Booking: ~3–4 weeks prior to launch
- Creative submission: ~10 business days prior
Can I use multiple creatives?
Yes — multiple creatives are supported.
Can we print posters ourselves?
We typically handle production to ensure quality and timing, but exceptions can be made in certain cases.
What materials and sizes are used for WNDWposter™ Displays?
WNDWposter™ Displays are printed on perforated vinyl, designed to hold up on exterior storefront windows.
Our standard size is 30” x 20”, but we can adjust sizing depending on the space.
We also offer custom shapes (die-cut formats) if you’re looking to do something more eye-catching.
What is Small Business Direct (SBD)?
SBD is an in-store format that complements WNDWposter™ Displays.
Examples include:
- Counter cards
- Brochures
- Postcards
- Product placement
It creates a direct touchpoint inside the business.
How do you handle competitive separation?
- No competitors within the same window
- Line-of-sight separation
- Managed at the neighborhood level when possible
What happens if a poster gets damaged or removed?
WNDW installs and audits every campaign to ensure storefront compliance. If anything is removed or damaged (which is rare), our team will replace or repost to ensure your campaign is 100% fulfilled.
What types of businesses do you display in?
We work across a wide range of independent, street-level businesses, with placements typically concentrated in:
- Restaurants (41%)
- Retail (17%)
- Salons & wellness (11%)
- Professional services (9%)
- Grocery (8%)
- And additional categories like apparel, garment care, and nightlife
This ensures strong visibility in the types of places people are actually spending time day-to-day.
Can you avoid certain types of businesses?
Yes — we can exclude specific venue types (e.g., bars, liquor stores, vape shops, etc.) based on your client preferences and brand safety.
