Year WNDW Entered Seattle WAIn the wake of Covid-19, life in Seattle changed, with downtown eerily quiet, commuters working from home, and tourism almost nonexistent. WNDW helped Visit Seattle and the Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority (RTA) who are normally tasked with bringing in tourists from out of town, to look inward, to the residents and locals of the city and its surrounding neighborhoods, to shop, eat, browse, and support the small businesses in their community.
WNDW focused coverage throughout King County’s small businesses, in favorite neighborhoods such as Downtown, Capitol Hill, Pike Pine, and Queen Anne. The message was simple: stay home, spend your time and money here, in the city you know and love, encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses and to “Do Something” at their own comfort level. WNDW spread the message with Street-Level OOH advertising utilizing our WindowPoster™ product. We can help you or your clients Be Seen using our WindowPoster™ Displays, Digital Integration, Experiential Marketing and unique Small Business Direct programs.
The Emerald City. The origin of grunge rock, the home of Starbucks, Amazon and Microsoft, with a thriving food-and-drink scene, eclectic neighborhoods and a stunning coastal setting, Seattle is a dynamic urban enclave nestled in the Pacific Northwest. You may hear Seattle locals say, “The mountain is out,” meaning the snow-capped Mount Rainier is visible. Capitol Hill is the entertainment and counter-culture haven – and that’s just a sampling. Experience Seattle’s long and storied music history at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP). Formerly the Experience Music Project, this interactive Frank O. Gehry-designed museum features edgy contemporary exhibits dedicated to the preservation of pop culture.
The Seattle metro area has a strong base of established industry sectors, such as aerospace, information technology, and retail. It’s also a center for creative and emerging industry segments, such as interactive media, music, and clean technology. Seattle consistently ranks as one of the most highly educated cities in the nation with 56 percent of residents having at least a bachelor’s degree.
